"In recent years, there has been an increase in demand for easy to use point-of-care diagnostic devices for diseases such as cardiac disease. Such devices can aid clinicians to triage cardiac patients. Highly specific antibodies can be incorporated into a biochip for detection of low level concentration analytes. The purpose of this project is to isolate a recombinant antibody that is specific to an enzyme from an immunized chicken library and to purify the most promising antibody candidate.
A library of clones was screened for specificity towards this enzyme using direct ELISA. Positive clones were than ranked using Biacore 3000 system. The clone with the most promising antibody was then purified using IMAC and analyzed using SDS-PAGE. "
