The MAMBO website is extremely slow …

The MAMBO site is graphically intensive and was designed to be run in Irish primary schools over broadband connections. We are aware, however, that some wireless broadband modems (running at 512 Kb/s) will struggle. There are a few things you can try to increase performance.

1.         Try using our preloader - this will load common graphical elements onto your hard drive and should improve performance. On a 512 Kb/s wireless modem the download should take about one to two minutes.

2.         Do not clear your browser cache after visiting the MAMBO site. This will maintain common elements and reduce future download times.

3.         If you’re using Windows Internet Explorer, you can obtain significant performance gains on the MAMBO site by switching to the Mozilla Firefox browser.

I can’t see the animations …

The animations were constructed using Macromedia Flash. You can download the required plug-in here.

The pages are distorted …

We have extensively tested the MAMBO site on Windows machines running the most common browsers - Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Mozilla Firefox. We are aware, however, of a problem on Macintosh systems whereby fonts do not display correctly. This issue is expected to be resolved in the coming weeks.
